Pierer New Mobility GmbH is recalling various Husqvarna, Gasgas and R Raymon e-bike models due to problems with the Clarks brake system. An immediate sales stop applies to models that have not yet been delivered. Sold bikes should be returned to the dealer immediately.

According to the press release, internal quality checks have revealed deviations in the fatigue strength of the Clarks braking system occurred. Apparently the Bicycle disc brake does not meet the safety standard and there is increased brake wear. In extreme cases, the brake disc of the hydraulic disc brake can even tear off, which could result in serious accidents. Husqvarna, R Raymon and Gasgas e-bike models that are already equipped with a Shimano or Tektro brake system are excluded from this product recall.

The manufacturer has already informed the specialist dealers about the recall. All customers should now immediately return the e-bikes listed below to an authorised Pierer New Mobility dealer. They will take over the further processing. The explicit recommendation is, no longer ride the e-bikes mentioned!

The low-cost Clarks disc brake is now being completely removed from the range and replaced by brakes from other manufacturers.
