On 3 October, the asphalt course in Groß-Bieberau, Hesse, will be red-hot again: the German Pump Track Championships for elite riders and the German Cup for amateur riders are coming up! Here is all the information on registration and the timetable.

Last call for the German Pump Track Championships: If you want to compete for the crown, you have to register by Tuesday, 30 September. This is because the big party will take place the following long weekend in Groß-Bieberau near Darmstadt in southern Hesse.

The country's best professional and amateur riders will decide their German champions here on 3 October on the 105-metre asphalt course. Also in the starting field: local hero Luca Eckhardt (23), who was already champion in 2023 and wants to reclaim the title this year. It is likely to be correspondingly loud in the spectator stands.

All elite racers with a racing licence (born 2008 or later) will be competing for the German pump track championship title. Registration fee: 25 euros.

The race is held in the so-called "solo run" format. Each driver has two qualifying runs, the faster of which is counted. In the final runs, two racers compete against each other, also in a solo run, until the Big Final is reached at the end. Winner's prize: 150 euros (equal prize for men and women).

If you don't have a licence but would like to compete with the elite class, you can also apply for a one day licence can be issued via Rad-Net.

Racers with and without a licence compete for this title. Here, too, there is a qualifying round consisting of two heats, but with a fixed starting order. The eight fastest drivers in each class then compete in the final with a flying start.

  • The categories: from U7 (including 2019 age group) to Masters over 40
  • Entry fee: 25 Euro / Pupils & Youth 15 Euro
  • Winner prizes: Cup

The schedule

On 1 October, the pump track in Groß-Bieberau will be closed for set-up. The official free training starts on Thursday, 2 October from 4 pm (Germany Cup), from 4:45 pm (Elite) separated according to classification.

Friday, 3 October:

  • 8 - 10:35 a.m.: Training by classification (15 to 20 minutes each)
  • 10:40 am Riders Briefing
  • from 11 am start of the qualification runs

Overnight stay: From 2 October at 2 pm, camper vans can park for free in the Albert Einstein School car park. The showers and toilets in the gymnasium may be used. Electricity connection, grey water and toilet emptying are not possible.
