Hardly any other bike has been as hyped this year as the PL Carbon from DJI brand Amflow. In the meantime, numerous other manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon and are utilising the impressive power of the DJI Avinox motor. The Amflow PL Carbon combines extremely low weight with massive motor power. The riding characteristics of the tightly tuned bike are successful, but not exceptional. More of a trail tourer than an enduro bike, but a fun power bike for a sporty target group.
Really light and powerful at the same time - only DJI can currently achieve this. With all the others, you have to make compromises. - Max Fuchs, BIKE editor
Cube proves that the light category also works with a smaller budget. The AMS Hybrid One44 Race is well-balanced throughout and impresses above all with high riding fun at a very low weight. Despite the need to save money, the equipment may not be glamorous, but it is solid and harmonious throughout. Thanks to the moderate geometry and only 18.7 kilos, the Cube turns out to be a handy trail speedster with natural mountain bike handling.
As the little brother of the Ekano power bike, the new Sresh SL comes with slightly shorter suspension travel, a light motor but removable battery. With a modern yet uncomplicated geometry and excellent suspension, the new Propain Sresh SL has hardly any weaknesses and offers comfort and capacity. The quiet TQ motor fits perfectly into the concept. Thanks to the configurator, there is a wide range of options in terms of equipment, battery and wheel size.
The Rocky Mountain platform also impresses as a light eMTB. The intuitive handling stands out from the crowd and makes the bike a revelation on the trail. The slack head angle and long chainstays create confidence when things get fast. In addition, the rear suspension provides more than the nominally specified 145 millimetres of travel. The motor is dynamic and fun to ride, but the rough character still takes some getting used to.
The Yeti MTe is the first bike with the new TQ HPR 60 and impresses with its discreet background noise, powerful thrust and large 580 Wh battery for an above-average range. The geometry with a central riding position and the handling are also impressive. Despite the shorter suspension travel, the Sixfinity rear triangle offers good absorption capacity and can keep up with the 160 mm fork. Grippy tyres and powerful brakes underline the strong downhill competence.
In principle, the Decoy SN is based on the successful Capra model, in which a Fazua motor with a permanently installed 430 battery has been implanted. If you want to let it run downhill and are looking for a bike for almost all trail conditions, you definitely can't go wrong with the Decoy SN. Balanced, fun and powerful - that's enduro! The Core 3 model benefits from its strong equipment, for which you usually have to dig much deeper into your pockets with the competition.
