This article is part of our large E-MTB comparison test:
The Neuron:On AL is Canyon's affordable and versatile Bosch all-rounder. The top version has already won one of our tests. With Fox and Shimano parts, the AL8 hardly offers a worse specification. Available with either a 600 or 800 battery.
The powerful Avinox also poaches in the budget segment. The Crussis offers playful handling, favourable Fox suspension and even the mechanical Eagle 70 transmission to transfer the power cleanly to the rear wheel. 300 euros more expensive with the 800 battery.
The Xyron S 2.0 marks Conway's entry into the Bosch E-MTB world. Conway's affordable all-mountain bike does without the removable battery, but offers a reasonable spec including a 600 battery at an extremely low price.
Even at an entry-level price, the Cube All Mountain comes with a carbon main frame, 800 battery and the stylish Kiox 400 C display. The composition of the components, from the Fox suspension to the Shimano parts, is perfectly balanced.
Uncomplicated, affordable, powerful? The Focus Jam² is our first association. Our test in autumn 2025 showed that even the simplest model is fun on the trail. If you're on a budget, you can opt for the slightly better Jam² 6.8.
Even the cheapest Santa Cruz E-MTB is not a real bargain. However, the Bosch system and functional components from the fork to the brakes promise top-class performance. The weight should only be 24 kilos thanks to the permanently installed 600 battery.
DJI driving for under 5000 euros? No problem. The Megamo Reason is available with classic XT gears and simple Fox suspension for 4999 euros. Even the 800 battery is on board. With 160 millimetres of travel and long geometry, it's almost an enduro bike.
It's amazing what Decathlon delivers for under 3000 euros! The E-Expl offers sensitive suspension, a Brose motor and grippy tyres. Although the brakes could do with more bite, the Rockrider is simply unbeatable at this price.
