With the Nano series, Cyclite has launched three mini bags for bikepacking races and day tours. The series includes a top tube bag, a bag for the handlebars and one for the seat post.

According to the manufacturer, the Nano series is designed for trips and tours lasting up to two days. The assembly is similar to that of Fidlock bottles. However, the bags do not have to be twisted like the bottles to remove them from the bike. Instead, you pull on a tab, which releases the anchoring.

Our initial assessment of the Nano series

Successful mini bags in the Cyclite style: light, well thought-out and functional. So far we have only tried out the Top Tube Bag Nano/01, which holds a little more than a bag of Katjes. On both gravel rides, the bag sat firmly on the top tube and remained inconspicuous. That's how it should be. The packed sweets were distributed during a break.

However, we think it's a shame that you can't choose the type of attachment yourself when ordering the top tube bag. Rubber O-rings are always included, which are placed around the top tube and attached to the mounting rail. If you have bolt-on points on the top tube and want to use them, you have to buy the "Nano Bolt Mount" separately for 14.90 euros. The rail and O-rings are then not required.

The Saddle Bag Nano/01 was also supposed to come on the trip, but we had the wrong rear light to hand. The "strap" of the Sigma radar rear light is too wide for the straps on the bag.

Top tube bag

The Cyclite Top Tube Bag Nano/01 has a volume of 0.6 litres. The small, waterproof bag is attached to the top tube and can be removed in one easy step. The scope of delivery includes a universal holder consisting of a rail and rubber O-rings. The O-rings are placed around the top tube and hooked into the rail. The bag is then placed on the rail and held in place thanks to the magnet and snap-in point. Only when you pull on a strap is the snap-in point released and the bag can be removed.

If you have mounting points on the top tube, you can optionally use the Buy "Nano Bolt Mount". This consists of two parts and is screwed into the threaded bushes. This makes mounting on the top tube even more minimalist. The bag is particularly suitable for things that you want to be able to reach while riding. Snacks, for example.

Bag for the seat post

The Saddle Bag Nano/01At first glance, the looks similar to a top tube bag, but is designed for the seat post. It has a volume of 0.5 litres. It can hold a puncture repair kit with an electronic air pump, inner tube, tools and tubeless patches - and there may even be room for an emergency bar. Another practical feature of this bag is the quick attachment to the mounting rail. The rail is again attached to the seatpost with rubber O-rings and the bag is clipped onto it. As with the top tube bag, a pull on the strap releases the anchoring so that the bag can be removed.

Practical loops on the "lid" of the bag allow a small rear light to be attached. A Garmin radar rear light can also be mounted using the separately available "Radar Mount".

Cyclite gives the weight as 64 grams. Our laboratory scale shows 74.3 grams with two large O-rings and mounting rail, and 52.9 grams without mounting.

Handlebar bag

The Cyclite Handle Bar Bag Nano/01 offers plenty of additional storage space. With a capacity of 1.3 litres, it offers space for a small rain jacket or other additional layers of clothing. Unused clothing finds its place here and no longer gets wet and sweaty in the jersey pocket. Assembly is similar. If you have screw-on points on the aero cockpit, you can use these or the GoPro mount on the sat nav holder.

According to Cyclite, the bag weighs 98 grams. Our test model weighed 104 grams with the mount and 82 grams without the mount.
