With the Breeze, Urban Arrow is breaking new ground in the longtail cargo bike segment. The Dutch brand, which has been known for its iconic front-loading cargo bikes for over 14 years, is presenting a more compact alternative to the classic cargo bike with a large transport box with the new model. According to the manufacturer, the Urban Arrow Breeze is designed to ride like a normal bike, but offers significantly more transport capacity on the extended rear carrier. Urban Arrow is thus expanding its portfolio with a variant that is specially tailored to the needs of families in urban areas who are looking for a manoeuvrable yet transportable bike.
The Urban Arrow Breeze combines the manoeuvrability of a normal bike with the transport capacity of a cargo bike. The extended rear carrier can carry up to 80 kilograms - be it in the form of two children, a week's shopping or sports equipment.
Thanks to the modular accessory system, the bike can be flexibly adapted to different transport requirements. With 24-inch wheels, a low frame and a suspension fork, Urban Arrow promises a comfortable riding experience even on uneven roads and cobblestones. The concept of the longtail bike is particularly suitable for beginners, as it rides like a conventional bike but offers significantly more transport options.
For the drive of the Breeze, Urban Arrow relies on a Bosch Cargo Line motor with 85 Newton metres torque, specially designed for transporting heavy loads. The continuously variable Enviolo gear hub enables quiet and uncomplicated shifting, even under load. The bike has an extendable seat post that allows riders between 155 and 190 centimetres tall to use the bike - an important aspect for families where several people want to use the bike. Urban Arrow summarises this concept under the term "One Size Fits All".
For a bike that is primarily designed for transporting children, safety is particularly important. The Urban Arrow Breeze has an extra sturdy stand to make loading and unloading easier. A permanently integrated frame lock and practical storage for an additional chain lock are also part of the safety concept. The Bosch Purion 200 display offers intuitive operation and clear information on the riding status. Spoke and belt covers also protect against injuries and soiled clothing. Wide Schwalbe tyres provide additional grip and stability.
The Urban Arrow Breeze is equipped with the MIK system, which enables accessories to be changed quickly. This means that the bike can be converted from a child transporter to a cargo bike for shopping or leisure equipment as required.
Michiel Nota, Managing Director of Urban Arrow, emphasises:
"We are the pioneers of the electric cargo bike and are consistently developing it further with the Breeze. Our first longtail bike also offers the quality, safety and family-friendliness that Urban Arrow is known for."
With the Breeze, Urban Arrow wants to give families more freedom of movement in the city - without traffic jams, searching for a parking space and stress, but with fresh air, exercise and shared experiences.
The Urban Arrow Breeze will be available in selected stores from 23 September 2025. The model will be available in the colours black and green. The entry-level price is 5,499 euros with a 400 watt-hour battery. Optional upgrades to 545 watt hours (surcharge of 300 euros) or 800 watt hours (surcharge of 600 euros) are possible.
