The new G Line City+ from Brompton comes as an electric folding bike version with ergonomic handlebars and an upright sitting position. Thanks to its integrated suspension and Schwalbe Big Apple tyres, the e-folding bike is said to reduce handlebar vibrations by 36 percent. It also comes with 20-inch wheels and the e-Motiq drive system. The new folding bike from London remains compactly foldable at 73 × 69 × 40 cm.

With the G Line City+, the London-based folding bike manufacturer is launching a comfort-orientated version of its 20-inch model onto the market. The electric folding bike is designed to enable a relaxed riding position thanks to its raised handlebars and ergonomic handlebars.

The City+ variant will initially be released as a limited edition with electric drive only. The model weighs 19.5 kilograms including the battery and uses the tried-and-tested 3-way folding mechanism. The bike will continue to be manufactured in the London production facility.

The geometry differs significantly from the classic G Line due to the modified handlebar position. The ergonomic design promises less strain on the wrists and back on longer journeys. The upright position should also provide a better overview in city traffic.

Schwalbe Big Apple reduces vibrations

The suspension works together with Schwalbe Big Apple tyres to dampen bumps in the road. According to the manufacturer, this combination reduces handlebar vibrations by up to 36 per cent compared to unsprung versions. The 20-inch wheels remain compact enough for the folding mechanism.

Four colours in a limited edition

The G Line City+ starts in size M with four colour options. You can choose from Space Black, Forest Green, Adventure Orange and Traildust White. Despite the electric drive, the new Brompton remains compactly foldable with dimensions of 73 × 69 × 40 centimetres.
