The concept is that of a classic baker's bike, even if the bike's appearance does not reflect this at first glance. But at least there is a small wheel (20 inch) at the front and a 26 inch wheel at the rear. Both are fitted with tyres over six centimetres wide - comfort is provided here even without suspension elements. And here too, one size fits all. You sit comfortably on the wide handlebars, while the Speedlifter ensures quick height adjustment. The neatly welded aluminium frame looks brutally torsion-resistant, as it would later prove to be. You hardly notice that you're sitting on a bike that's more or less a Wolpertinger when riding: with a wheelbase of 114 centimetres, the bike rolls almost as smoothly as a touring bike as long as you keep your hands on the handlebars, and is still easy to manoeuvre.
The situation is similar with luggage, even if the relatively high centre of gravity is noticeable with the 30 kilos of luggage that we loaded onto the front rack. Basically, however, there's little to complain about: the bike doesn't break a sweat on poor surfaces or in fast bends. The rider doesn't either: Shimano's EP6 pushes hard enough and runs quietly enough on the climbs. The only thing lacking is the ride quality: Occasionally it runs slightly out of round when pedalling harder in higher gears - but that's complaining at a high level. Even when stationary, the bike makes a secure impression with its wide two-legged kickstand. The road equipment is solid, from the rims and the very robust mudguards to the 150-lux front light with a relatively homogeneous light field.
The standard folding pedals - with them and the Speedlifter Twist you can turn the bike into a narrow package in the garage - unfortunately make the Q-factor significantly wider. This expresses how far apart my feet are when pedalling. The further apart, the more unnatural the posture feels. However, as this bike doesn't inspire any sporting expectations anyway, this is negligible unless you find it annoying. For 5300 euros, the Moca is an exceptional mini-cargobike that is really easy to ride, with a powerful motor and an unusual design. Another plus here: the many transport customisations.
Special design, comfortable ride, quick adjustability and a lot of transport competence for medium luggage size and weight - a real family bike with a slight tendency towards a tool transporter.
