Velo De Ville is entering the world of connected urban e-bikes with the Revo-C. The new model is intended to position itself as a versatile companion for city traffic thanks to its combination of powerful drive, intelligent technology and clear design. At the centre of this is the use of the new DJI Avinox propulsion systemwhich, according to the manufacturer, should ensure a particularly dynamic and effortless driving experience.
The Revo-C utilises the new DJI Avinox drive, although the manufacturer has not yet revealed any details about its exact technical specifications. However, Velo De Ville promises a powerful and dynamic riding experience that should blend seamlessly into urban traffic. A special feature of the Revo-C is its intelligent connectivity. For example, the e-bike should be able to predict traffic light phases and support the rider accordingly in order to catch as many green waves as possible. However, the manufacturer has left open how exactly this function will be technically implemented.
In addition to the drive technology, Velo De Ville attaches particular importance to the safety aspects of the Revo-C. The e-bike has an integrated GPS tracking system and an alarm system. These functions are designed to protect the bike even when it is not in use. A display integrated into the top tube ensures riding comfort. This is designed to clearly show all important information without being intrusive. Velo De Ville emphasises that all technical features are designed in such a way that they only come to the fore when needed and otherwise remain discreetly in the background.
Visually, the Revo-C presents itself with clear lines and a precise design. The manufacturer speaks of a light, uncluttered look that blends seamlessly into the urban environment. The frame design is conceived in such a way that it adapts to a wide variety of riders.
With the Revo-C, Velo De Ville is targeting a design-savvy, technology-enthusiastic target group. The e-bike is intended to be suitable for daily commuting through dense city traffic as well as for spontaneous excursions into the countryside. The manufacturer is positioning the Revo-C as a versatile companion for the modern urban lifestyle that is set to redefine mobility. Gregor Rein, Sales Manager at Velo de Ville, sees the new model as an opportunity to appeal to new customer groups and emphasises the Revo-C's suitability for modern urban mobility concepts.
The frame of the Revo-C is made of aluminium and is available in two sizes. According to the manufacturer, the effective frame sizes are 53 cm and 58 cm, whereby the actual seat tube lengths are significantly shorter at 43 cm and 48 cm respectively. This geometry should make the bike suitable for riders between 150 cm and 200 cm tall. Velo de Ville deliberately favoured short seat tubes in the frame design to ensure optimum stability.
The Revo-C has a rigid fork that is painted in the same colour as the frame. The wheels have a diameter of 28 inches and are fitted with Schwalbe Green Marathon tyres in 47-622. An Ergotec Active Flex suspension seat post provides additional comfort.
The electric motor from DJI Avinox is used as the drive, which is designed to develop a maximum torque of 105 Nm. In the boost function, even 120 Nm would be available. The 600 Wh battery is integrated in the down tube. A derailleur system provides the power transmission, whereby the customer can choose between different Shimano variants. There is a choice of 9-speed (Shimano CUES U4000), 10-speed (Shimano CUES U6000) and 11-speed (Shimano CUES U8000) gears.
The Revo-C's standard equipment includes hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano (MT200) with 180 mm discs at the front and 160 mm at the rear. Lighting is provided by a Herrmans MR-9E headlight with 70 lux light intensity. The rear light is integrated into the pannier rack and has a brake light function. An integrated alarm system and a GPS tracking system, which is included in the scope of delivery for three years, are intended to ensure greater safety.
The Revo-C is available in various equipment variants. The basic version with 9-speed gears has a recommended retail price of 3,999 euros. The 10-speed version would cost 4,099 euros, while the version with 11-speed gears would cost 4,249 euros. Velo De Ville also offers various equipment packages and individual options with which the bike can be customised.
Velo De Ville's modular system allows customers to configure their Revo-C according to their own ideas. Various colour options and paint finishes are available. Buyers can also choose between different equipment packages. The Premium package, for example, includes a more powerful charger, a more powerful headlight and improved brakes. For riders who also want to use their bike off-road, the Cross package is available with a suspension fork and chunky tyres.
