Enduro fun from the Basque Country with 150 Nm, 800 Wh and 170 mm suspension travel. With the Lynx+ DL, BH wants to ignite the next e-bike stage. The Spanish bike label BH gives its "Lynx" enduro bike a lot of oomph with the Avinox M2S.

If the Spanish bike label was called Sujetador, it would be funny. Because it means. Bra, which means bra in German. Now it's the other way round: the Spaniards are called BH, which stands for Beistegui Hermanos. But the abbreviation sounds a little strange in German. Yet the company's history is old and exciting, and the Beistegui brothers from the Basque Country have made a great transition by transforming the arms manufacturer into a bicycle company and getting involved in road racing early on.

The latest baby from the company, which is over 100 years old, is called the iLynx+ DL. The "Lynx" is an E-Enduro with a 170 mm rear end and the new DJI Avinox M2S motor and large battery. The drive packs a punch, the battery lasts forever and the frame looks as clean as if the designer had forgotten the motor.

Motor with oomph - and still quiet

The Avinox M2S puts 150 Nm of torque on the chain and shoots up to 1,300 watts in turbo mode. The power is delivered smoothly and quietly thanks to numerous sensors. Technical climbs? No problem. The motor pulls smoothly instead of whining frantically. Well, it does have to groan a little under full load. We forgive it for the effort.

BH also packs in an 800 Wh battery that promises a range of up to 157 kilometres. Suddenly you can go on long tours with lots of metres in altitude without having to constantly think about charging.

A fat 2-inch OLED touchscreen sits in the top tube, which shows everything clearly even in bright sunlight. Two wireless remote controls on the handlebars regulate the modes and display - and the clean look is complete.

A frame that looks like a normal mountain bike

BH has shrunk the down tube diameter to the narrowest dimension in the entire E range. The iLynx+ DL suddenly looks much slimmer and closer to the classic MTB. Of course, this is also thanks to the compact dimensions of the Avinox motor. A normal water bottle fits in the frame, even with the ggyback shock. Cables disappear completely into the frame, the rear triangle has extra protection and a BlockLock system prevents the handlebars from bumping into anything. Seatposts with up to 200 mm travel? No problem.

Carbon - light, stiff and impact-resistant?

The carbon frame comes with ballistic layup technology and the hollow-core process. Superfluous material is removed, making the structure cleaner and more stable. The result: a lightweight, extremely stiff chassis that can easily take hard enduro hits, according to the manufacturer.

The Luchs is also available in aluminium. If you don't want to dig deep into your pockets, the iLynx+ DL is also available with a hydroformed aluminium frame. The look remains close to the carbon model, including polished weld seams. The core DNA remains the same, only the price is more favourable.

Geometry that climbs and shoots

170 mm rear travel makes the iLynx+ DL the most action-orientated E-MTB from BH. The steep 77.5-degree seat tube angle gets you uphill efficiently. The slack 63.5-degree steering angle and short 450 mm chainstays ensure fun and control on steep, technical descents. Four frame sizes from S to XL fit almost everyone.

Split Pivot is the name of BH's rear suspension system. The tried and tested Split Pivot system aims to separate braking and suspension forces. Pedalling becomes more efficient, the range increases and traction remains excellent on descents. Anti-rise characteristics included - the bike remains stable when you step on the brakes. The BH people are convinced of this.

Six models from 4,799.90 euros

A total of six variants are available - four in ballistic carbon, two in aluminium. It starts at 4,799.90 euros. You can also choose the colour of your choice via the BH Unique programme. Individualisation at Spanish level.
