With the TK02, the Italian manufacturer THOK is launching an enduro eMTB that is clearly aimed at downhill riding - without forgetting the uphill. 170 mm of suspension travel, the new fifth-generation Bosch CX motor and an 800 Wh battery should make long days off-road possible. The price remains surprisingly down-to-earth: 5,490 euros.
The TK02-S is now followed by the TK02 - an E-Enduro with an aluminium frame that is deliberately positioned between a trail bike and a bike park machine. 170 mm of suspension travel makes a clear statement: this bike wants to work downhill. At the same time, the modern geometry with a 64.5° head angle and 77.5° seat angle ensures that even steep climbs are not a test of patience.
The Mullet configuration combines a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel - smooth running at the front, manoeuvrability at the rear. A setup that has now become the standard on modern enduro eMTBs.
The new Bosch Performance Line CX Gen5 with a whopping 100 Nm of torque is located in the down tube. Together with the integrated 800 Wh battery, the TK02 is clearly aimed at riders who want to combine long tours with technical descents.
If you want to go even further, you can fit the 250 Wh range extender - then the capacity increases to 1,050 Wh. Everything is shown on the compact Purion 200 display.
In short: range anxiety or battery paranoia, as we call it, is no longer an issue here.
For the chassis, THOK favours robust components instead of a lightweight show.
At the front is a RockShox Domain Gold R with 38 mm stanchions and 170 mm travel. At the rear, a specially tuned Deluxe Select shock takes control. Together, this results in a setup that sounds more like a bike park than an after-work ride.
Braking is with Magura Louise Elite, shifting with SRAM Eagle S100.
Function before prestige - and that fits the character of the bike perfectly.

Visually, THOK remains true to its motorsport DNA.
"White Heat" is reminiscent of classic racing car paintwork, while "Neon Pulse" deliberately focusses on maximum visibility off-road. Technically, both variants are identical - it's all down to taste.
At € 5,490, THOK is positioning the TK02 surprisingly aggressively in the market segment of long-stroke E-Enduros with Bosch Gen5 drive. The bike is available in four sizes from S to XL - via THOK Points, online and in selected bike park test fleets, for example in Finale Ligure or Breuil-Cervinia.
The bottom line is that the TK02 is not a lifestyle e-bike for cappuccino laps, but a tool for riders who want to get serious on the descents - and want to keep enough energy left over for the climbs.
