The Moustache Xroad 2026 is entering the next generation with a completely new frame platform and state-of-the-art Bosch motor technology. The e-trekking bike is available with a suspension fork or as a full-suspension Xroad FS and is aimed at riders who expect just as much comfort in everyday life as on longer tours. Both models offer a high degree of versatility and riding comfort. The prices range from 2,799 to 4,199 euros, depending on the equipment.

The French manufacturer Moustache is presenting a complete overhaul of its best-selling Xroad e-trekking bike for 2026. The versatile electric bike is based on a new frame platform and is powered by the latest generation of Bosch motors. Moustache has opted for a well thought-out concept that is designed to master the balancing act between suitability for everyday use and touring. The Xroad is available in two basic versions: as a model with front suspension and as the full-suspension Xroad FS.

Focus on comfort

The basic version of the Xroad is characterised by a comfort frame with a low step-through. According to Moustache, the new frame design is slimmer, more elegant and more modern. The low entry makes it easier to get on and off the bike in everyday life. Several components ensure riding comfort: A suspension fork absorbs shocks from the front, a suspension seat post reduces vibrations on the saddle, an ergonomic saddle offers a comfortable riding position and wide tyres provide additional cushioning and traction on different surfaces.

The Xroad is powered by the latest Bosch motor generation. Depending on the model variant, different motors are used: Performance Line, Performance Line PX or Performance Line CX. These motors differ in terms of performance characteristics and maximum support. Moustache also offers various battery options. Depending on the model variant, the capacities range from 540 Wh to 600 Wh to 800 Wh, which enables different ranges.

The Xroad FS: Full-suspension comfort

For even more riding comfort, Moustache offers the Xroad FS - the full-suspension version of the all-rounder. The FS model combines the versatility and dynamics of the standard model with the additional comfort of full suspension. The innovative frame construction is particularly noteworthy: the frame of the Xroad FS consists of just two original moulded parts - the main frame and the rear swing arm. These are connected by a central joint.

Despite the open design for a low entry, the frame is as stiff as a classic diamond frame, according to Moustache. The new manufacturing process also saves 600 grams in frame weight. The suspension is realised by several components: A suspension fork at the front, a telescopic seat post and the Moustache Magic Grip Control damper at the rear ensure a comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces.

As with the standard model, the Xroad FS also uses different Bosch motors depending on the variant: Performance Line, Performance Line PX or Performance Line CX. Battery capacities of 540 Wh or 600 Wh are available. The exact equipment varies depending on the price range and model, with Moustache emphasising features suitable for everyday use.

The Xroad and Xroad FS are positioned as versatile e-bikes for various areas of use: from daily commuting to work and relaxed city rides to tours on paved paths and easy forest trails. Thanks to the suspension systems, even uneven routes should be comfortable to ride. With the different motorisation and battery options, Moustache offers variants for different requirements and budgets.
