As the official Maxxis BIKE Transalp team, the two thoroughbred mountain bikers Petra Zeller and Nico Endler from Austria this year at the 25th edition of the Maxxis BIKE Transalp at the start. The two are not completely unknown in the MTB scene: As Freeide Inc. Austria the two (together with other MTB fans) have been taking a refreshing look at the bike scene with their videos and blog posts for several years.
They discover trails and tours for their followers on all channels, scrutinise equipment and give their community tips and tricks on what you need, can do and need to know. The pair have already taken part in numerous editions of the BIKE Transalps and have enriched them with eye-catching videos, posts and reels - many know them as an unusual duo with dirndls, lederhosen and music on their mountain bikes. The two are not only real good-humoured guarantors, but also ambitious mountain bikers with power and technical skills.
For the 25th edition of our MTB stage race, the duo will be diving even deeper into the world of the Transalp as the Maxxis BIKE Transalp Team. Petra: "For Transalp fans, there will be a few very special video highlights on our channel, on the one hand to prepare for the Transalp, but on the other hand there will also be an insight into the trail highlights and thus the perfect foretaste of the route."

And much more that happens before and during the event. It will be funny, exciting, informative and their highly personal view of the Maxxis BIKE Transalp 2023.
Seven days of just eating - BIKING - sleeping, it doesn't get much better than that. What's more, most of the rides take you through the heart of the Dolomites or beautiful mountain regions in Switzerland, which is simply fantastic! I don't know of a cooler bike event - the participants become friends during the seven days! - Petra Zeller, Freeride Inc. Austria
Petra Zeller has become an integral part of the ranks of BIKE Transalp participants and always stands out in the crowd of mountain bikers: she has been riding the BIKE Transalp for many years - instead of wearing a bib and functional shirt, she rides the seven stages every time in a dirndl and also likes to wear a pair of fairy wings on her back. Isn't that super uncomfortable? "Of course it's warmer and a bit more uncomfortable, but the fun factor makes up for it," says Petra. "It's twice as much fun in a dirndl, the spectators laugh at you and the other participants chat to you much more openly than in a race outfit."
The Austrian has been mountain biking since 2002 and has also ridden the BIKE Transalp several times with different partners. And how do the others react to her special outfit? "Most of them think it's great and we laugh together, of course there are a few people who just shake their heads from time to time, but I make up for them on the trail anyway."
