Silca has already had a sealing milk mixed with carbon fibres in its range for a year now. The US brand is now completing its own ecosystem with valves and rim tape for tubeless use. According to the manufacturer, the interaction of all three products is intended to facilitate "installation, airflow, durability and maintenance". The valves and rim strips are available in two lengths and widths.
The aluminium valves are designed to be combined with modern rim profiles and are available in two lengths: according to the manufacturer, the 50 millimetre set costs 33.34 euros, while the 70 millimetre set costs 34.34 euros.
The portfolio is rounded off by the Ultimate Tubeless Rim Tape, as it is officially known. With the three-layer rim tape, frequent problems with tubeless systems such as tearing, stretching or leaks should be a thing of the past, according to Silca.
The rim tape is designed for a tyre pressure of up to 8.3 bar, works in a wide temperature range (-20 to 60 degrees Celsius) and adheres to both carbon and aluminium rims. Thanks to residue-free removal, maintenance and cleaning should be simplified.
The 27-millimetre version is suitable for use in road rims with a rim width of between 23 and 27 millimetres, while the 32-millimetre version is intended for wider off-road rims with an inner width of between 28 and 32 millimetres. The prices for a roll of ten metres are 29.30 and 30.30 euros respectively. According to Silca, up to four wheels can be lined with one roll.
