New high-end bicycle saddles are coming from Italy. Prologo is expanding its range of ultra-lightweight performance saddles with the Dimension R2 model and two variants of the Nago R4 with CPC technology. The Prologo Scratch M5 CPC, which has already been unveiled, now has competition from the company itself.

Prologo is expanding its range of high-performance saddles with the patented CPC technology (Connect Power Control) with three new top models. The Nago R4, a semi-circular saddle with a T-shape, is available in two versions: with the PAS system (Perineal Area System), which offers a central channel for pressure relief, and in a closed version with the Active Base System.

Added to this is the new Dimension R2 CPC, a flat saddle for sporty riders. These new additions complement the already familiar Scratch M5 CPC and complete the range of ultra-light performance saddles, which are now available with round, semi-round and flat ergonomics.

According to the manufacturer, the new models are specially designed to meet the needs of performance-orientated cyclists. The CPC technology is based on a special 3D polymer with a conical structure, which is designed to dampen vibrations and shocks while ensuring maximum stability on the saddle.

This is how innovative Prologo's CPC technology is

The Connect Power Control technology that Prologo has developed for the cycling world is characterised by its special properties. The 3D polymer with conical structure used ensures a significant improvement in vibration damping and prevents slipping on the saddle in all weather conditions. These properties are designed to allow the athlete to benefit from comfort and performance.

The nanostructure of the CPC technology also helps to reduce muscle fatigue and promote airflow, which lowers the temperature in the contact area. This innovative solution was originally developed for other high-performance areas and adapted by Prologo for cycling. The conical polymers form a kind of cushioning that absorbs shocks and provides stability at the same time - a decisive advantage on long rides or on demanding terrain where comfort and control are equally important.

Two versions of the Prologo Nago R4 CPC

The Nago R4 CPC has compact dimensions of 245 x 137 millimetres and is available in two versions. The open version has a PAS channel (Perineal Area System), an innovative central recess that reduces pressure peaks and therefore provides more comfort in the sensitive perineal area. The closed version, on the other hand, is equipped with the Active Base System, which ensures a larger contact surface and better pressure distribution.

Both configurations are characterised by their extremely low weight, with the PAS version weighing from just 159 grams. With Tirox rails (light alloy steel), the weight increases to 201 grams for the PAS version and 203 grams for the closed version. The Nago R4 CPC models are designed for use on any terrain and, according to the manufacturer, should deliver high performance in a wide range of conditions. The saddle rails are available in two material variants: as a naked version made of nano-carbon fibre measuring 7 x 9.3 millimetres or as a Tirox version made of light alloy steel with a diameter of 7 millimetres.

Flat saddle: The Prologo Dimension R2 CPC

The new Dimension R2 CPC expands the range of flat saddles in the Prologo range. With its V-shaped ergonomic features, an advanced anatomical centre and a wider saddle tip compared to the previous model, this saddle is aimed at cyclists who prefer an aggressive and stable riding position.

The flat saddle with PAS centre channel is designed to optimally balance comfort and performance. With dimensions of 245 x 143 millimetres, it is slightly wider than the Nago R4 CPC, but offers a similarly low weight of 161 grams with Nack rails and 200 grams with Tirox rails. The Dimension R2 CPC is available in white and anthracite, while the Nago R4 CPC is available in elegant black or white.

The flat shape of the Dimension R2 CPC is particularly suitable for riders who prefer an aerodynamic position but do not want to compromise on comfort.

Price & weight

The new CPC saddles are available with Nack rails (nano carbon fibre) or Tirox rails (light alloy steel) and can be purchased on the Prologo website and from selected authorised Prologo dealers. The retail price is 269 euros for the version with naked rails and 169 euros for the version with Tirox rails.

All three models - Nago R4 PAS CPC, Nago R4 CPC and Dimension R2 CPC - are characterised by their low weight and innovative CPC technology. The Nago R4 PAS CPC with naked rails weighs just 159 grams, while the Nago R4 CPC with a closed surface weighs 162 grams.

At 161 grams (naked rails), the Dimension R2 CPC is also in the ultra-light range. With these new models, Prologo now offers a complete range of CPC saddles for different riding positions and preferences, from round to semi-circular to flat, which should provide the right solution for every rider.
