Racy Enduro: Norco Sight VLT C2 on test
The Norco Sight VLT C2 is an E-All-Mountain of the extreme. 900 watt hours carry this E-MTB to the record range in the test.

However, the 5-kilo battery also makes it the heaviest carbon bike in the comparison. 25.4 kilos is a lot, but only logical considering the size of the battery. The geometry can also be described as extreme. Long chainstays, longest wheelbase, slack steering angle. In combination with the plush suspension, the bike sticks to the ground with confidence on rough terrain and cannot be rattled. The steepest descents, nasty rock gardens? No problem on board the Sight VLT. This bike plays in the enduro league. Things get more difficult when the trail gets narrow and twisty and the ride slows down. Then the Norco feels sluggish and requires a lot of effort.

Conclusion on the Norco Sight VLT C2

A racy enduro bike with a smooth ride and record range. Too much of a good thing for an all-rounder, as it feels heavy and sluggish in moderate use. Strong climber, moderate equipment.

Even on his very first tour, he focussed on single trails - and even after more than 30 years in the saddle of an MTB, these are still the quintessence of biking for him. He spent his youth competing in various bike disciplines and later his cycling career was characterised by years as a riding technique coach. Professionally, the experienced test editor now focusses on e-mountainbikes. In recent years, the qualified sports scientist and trained journalist has tested over 300 bikes and more than 40 different motor systems in the laboratory and in practice.
