"We are completely reorganising Eurobike in 2022. That is why we are also breaking new ground when it comes to honouring outstanding innovations. Projects that are honoured with the Eurobike Innovators' Prize rethink sustainable mobility and product experience and thus make a contribution far beyond the world of cycling."
- Eurobike boss Stefan Reisinger
The Eurobike Innovators' Prize is awarded for ideas in the prize categories of vehicles, components and equipment, as well as service and infrastructure projects. Both start-ups and established companies can submit their innovations for Eurobike 2022. The Eurobike Innovators' Prize differs from the previous Eurobike Award in terms of the selection and decision-making process. The selection will be based on a process consisting of a public vote, new evaluation criteria, a jury and a live pitch.
At this year's Eurobike, it's not just the opinion of an expert jury that counts. The multi-stage nomination and selection process for the most innovative projects also includes the Eurobike public, who have an influence on the decisions. The pre-selection for the final round will take place from 13 to 24 June via online voting. Online users worldwide will determine the 15 nominees in the five categories. These 15 finalists will then have the chance to pitch their products and ideas at Eurobike on 14 July. At the awards ceremony, both the public and the jury will then honour the most innovative projects.
The evaluation is based on the following aspects:
Eurobike 2022 promises the award-winning companies an attention push through the Innovators' Packages. The companies will benefit from advertising in the Eurobike media and individualised press releases as well as free stand space at the public festival VELOBerlin In addition, individual coaching with industry leaders will help young companies in particular to establish their projects on the bicycle market.
The 30th Eurobike will be open from Wednesday, 13 July to Sunday, 17 July 2022, from 9 am to 6 pm. Public days are Saturday and Sunday.
