The 33rd edition of Eurobike, which took place at Messe Frankfurt from 25 to 29 June 2025, is the world's leading platform for the bicycle and ecomobility industry. The trade fair reported 31,270 trade visitors and an additional 30,420 cycling enthusiasts over the festival weekend. On an area of more than 130,000 square metres, 1500 international exhibitors presented their new products in six halls and on the outdoor area. All three figures were down on the previous two years.
The decline in the number of exhibitors was particularly significant, falling by around 17 per cent compared to the previous year. The number of trade visitors was ten per cent lower than in 2024, while the decline in public visitors was 8.0 per cent. Eurobike 2025 presumably reflected the current situation in the bicycle industry. The German Two-Wheeler Industry Association announced a slight upward trend for the first quarter of 2025 at the start of the trade fair, but the full market recovery is still a long way off. These challenges were also reflected in the participation at the trade fair, where some industry giants were absent. This was compensated for by a strong international exhibitor presence, many of whom presented their products on the European market for the first time.
| Year | Trade visitors | Audience |
| 2025 | 31270 | 30420 |
| 2024 | 35000 | 33090 |
| 2023 | 34750 | 31840 |
The spectrum of products on display ranged from ultra-light, aerodynamic carbon racing bikes to commercial electric cargo vehicles. New drive manufacturers presented their developments, while innovations such as materials made from recycled plastic were showcased in the clothing sector. This diversity underlines the unbroken innovative strength of the industry. Paul Walsh, Managing Director of the newly founded united European umbrella organisation CONEBI-CIE, emphasised the importance of the trade fair: "Eurobike 2025 was an impressive showcase for the vitality and creativity of the European bicycle industry," said Walsh. He added that the show demonstrated that the cycling world is an important part of the European innovation ecosystem and makes a significant contribution to Europe's industrial competitiveness. An overview of new products can be found in our Eurobike Blog.
Although the total number of trade visitors fell slightly compared to the previous year, international participation remained at a high level. At 53.7 per cent, more than one in two visitors travelled from outside Germany, an increase on the previous year's 49.2 per cent. The decline in the number of German trade visitors is partly due to new association and order fairs.
In addition to the product presentation, Eurobike 2025 also offered special themed areas and an extensive specialist programme. Areas such as Sports & Performance, Adventure, Handmade, Cargo and Start-up Area served as meeting points for in-depth discussions about innovations and development trends. The conference programme comprised 15 top-class specialist events with over 200 keynotes, presentations and panel discussions under the motto "Hello Future. Shaping active Mobility".
The Eurobike Festival weekend attracted numerous bike and mobility enthusiasts. Visitors were able to test new vehicle models on 45,000 test rides, attend travel lectures and watch sporting racing and show highlights. Friday afternoon was integrated into the festival for the first time, giving bike fans earlier access to the trade fair. Another new feature was the opportunity for exhibitors to sell directly at the trade fair during the weekend.
From 2026, the Ecomobility segment will have its own trade fair format under the name Mobifuture, which will take place alongside Eurobike. This realignment is intended to strengthen the growth markets of Sport & Performance and Ecomobility. As a result, Eurobike will focus more on its sporting core of road bikes, gravel and e-MTBs, while Mobifuture will become the leading platform for urban and connected mobility. Stefan Reisinger, Managing Director of trade fair organiser Fairnamic, was satisfied with how the trade fair went: "Whether as exhibitors or visitors, the entire bike and ecomobility world was present at Eurobike and used the platform for networking, initiating new business and exchanging ideas," said Reisinger.
He emphasised that this underlines the importance of Eurobike as the industry's most important international meeting place, even in challenging times. The next Eurobike and the first edition of Mobifuture are planned for 24 to 28 June 2026 at Messe Frankfurt. With this further development, the organisers are responding to the dynamic changes in the bicycle and mobility industry and creating a forward-looking concept for two fast-growing sectors.
