Eurobike is repositioning itself strategically in 2026. One day less, but new concepts for trade visitors and manufacturers. For the first time, Mobifuture will take place as an independent partner trade fair.

Topics in this article

The organisers of Eurobike are responding to the changing market conditions in the global bicycle industry and are strategically repositioning Eurobike 2026. The world's most important bicycle trade fair will be significantly more compact and cost-effective in order to consolidate its position as the leading international trade fair in the most important sales market for bicycles and pedelecs in Germany and Europe, according to a press release. The event period for Eurobike and the new Mobifuture event taking place at the same time will be shortened by one day. They will take place from 24 to 27 June 2026 at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds. This new concept is a direct response to the current challenges facing the industry and is intended to reduce the increasing cost pressure for exhibitors, while at the same time increasing the quality and relevance of the event.

More focus on specialist audience & core business

The abolition of the Sunday trade fair, which only began with the Eurobike moves to Frankfurt in 2022 and was primarily aimed at end consumers is a conscious decision by the organisers. The trade fair will once again focus more strongly on its core competence as a trade fair with a clear re-focus on the B2B segment and specialist retailers on the trade fair days Wednesday to Friday (24-26 June 2026). Saturday (27 June 2026) will remain an established Festival Day before the Ironman Triathlon takes place in Frankfurt on Sunday. This realignment should enable exhibitors to utilise their resources more efficiently and at the same time intensify the professional exchange. The organisers are thus responding to feedback from the industry, which had called for a stronger focus on the core business and a reduction in the costs associated with additional trade fair days.

Changes for exhibitors

A central element of the reorganisation will be the new participation formats, which will enable complete bike brands in particular to showcase their presence at the leading trade fair at a manageable cost. In this way, Fairnamic GmbH would also like to enable those market players who have recently refrained from participating as exhibitors to re-enter the market. With adjusted participation conditions and all-inclusive participation formats, the aim is to offer the industry the opportunity to position Eurobike together as a sustainable innovation and highlight platform. Fairnamic Managing Director Stefan Reisinger emphasises: "We are aware of the current challenges in the industry and take them very seriously. Cost pressure is high everywhere and with the shortened duration, adjusted participation conditions and fairly calculated all-inclusive participation formats, we are offering the industry the opportunity to position Eurobike together as a strong innovation and highlight platform in the long term."

Specialist retailer participation is strengthened

In addition to the new participation formats for exhibitors, retailer participation will also be strengthened. The tried-and-tested invitation system for retailers from Germany and Europe - formerly known as "Retail First" - will be reactivated. In future, manufacturers will have the opportunity to invite their most important specialist retailers to the trade fair free of charge. This measure is intended to increase the attractiveness of the trade fair for exhibitors and at the same time ensure that the relevant decision-makers from the retail trade are on site. The organisers are thus underlining their claim to create the most important global meeting point and networking event with Eurobike, where all international players are invited and welcome. According to Reisinger, the desire for an international industry summit in Europe is omnipresent and Eurobike should act as a central driving force to stimulate the market.

Thematic focussing

As part of the strategic development, the thematic structure of the trade fair programme will also be given a sharper profile. Bike and pedelec manufacturers as well as suppliers of parts, components and accessories will remain the central content of Eurobike with their established contact point in exhibition halls 11 and 12. 2026 will see national and international suppliers operating in both worlds of the bike and ecomobility industry find their home in hall 8. This thematic focussing will ensure greater depth of content, more expertise and a clearer positioning of the event for exhibitors and visitors. Visitors will be able to orientate themselves more specifically and explore the areas relevant to them more efficiently.

Mobifuture: The new partner trade fair

Parallel to Eurobike, the new Mobifuture event will be introduced as an independent format - as already announced at the start of the 2025 trade fair. For the first time, the organiser will be activating part of Messe Frankfurt's East Exhibition Centre in Hall 6 and focusing on electric vehicles beyond the classic bicycle and pedelec: from e-scooters and e-micromotorcycles to microcars and electric cargo vehicles for commercial applications as well as services. In addition to manufacturers, the target group on the exhibitor and visitor side includes providers from the fields of urban planning, politics, logistics and infrastructure as well as municipal decision-makers and operators of urban mobility systems who are looking for practical solutions for the transport revolution.

Ecomobility on the upswing

Martina Rumschick, Head of Brand and Content, explains the new concept: "The relevance of lightweight, compact and efficient ecomobiles is increasing around the globe. New manufacturers and vehicles are entering the market, innovations, new target groups and use cases are emerging. We see growing potential and the right time for a more independent positioning in addition to the bicycle and pedelec universe." Both events utilise targeted synergies in logistics, visitor management and infrastructure and can be visited by the public with one ticket. The exhibitor shop for participation in the 2026 trade fair is already open and the Fairnamic project team is available for advice and queries.
