The lines and trails of the Epic Bikepark Leogang are the classrooms of this BIKE Academy at the BIKE Festival in Leogang 2022. From the Festival Expo, the cable car leads up to the Asitz and opens up a wide selection of descents for bikers. Kids and beginners can then have fun on easier lines, while experts can even show what they've got on the World Cup downhill course. This is the perfect playground for this BIKE Academy, which aims to improve bikers of all ages and abilities.
For example YouTube star Elias Schwärzler as an instructor in front of a class of kids aged 10 and over and takes them on a "Rookies Bike Ride". Of course, there are plenty of valuable tips on how to ride correctly in the bike park. Hanna Steinthaler, professional racer in the Cube Action Teamis looking forward to starting the "Bitburger 0.0% Ladies Ride Out" with only female bikers. But this time without the stress of racing, but with plenty of time for personalised advice. And there will be no clock at the finish line, but at least one cool Bitburger 0.0% as refreshment. The "Techy Trails with Jasper Jauch" will also be open to men again. The coach Jasper Jauch, a former downhill racer, is known for adapting to the individual skill levels of the participants. And for bringing his suggestions for improvement to the man or woman with humour.
Ride The World Cup Track" with Andi Kolb really gets down to business. Here, the downhill pro takes you around the track on which he recently won the 5th place in the Downhill World Cup (Experts Only!).
Professional freerider Lukas Schäfer is considered a style minister. In the "Ride Hot Shots" workshop, he shows how to ride this pro jump line with airtime in a relaxed manner. And at the "Pump Track Workshops", former fourcross world champion Joost Wichman and his crew will explain which tricks will keep the flow going on the Velosolutions pump track in Leogang.
But the Academy also has something for e-mountain bikers in its timetable. There is the "EMTB Testride and Workshop" for beginners and advanced riders. Stefan Schlie, the master of uphill flow, will be doing the honours as a coach. And last but not least, EMTB editor-in-chief Josh Welz will also be making time for the "Bitburger 0.0% EMTB Tour". This will be a relaxed "tech and gossip" trail tour at an intermediate level. However, Josh will answer all questions about e-mountainbikes at the highest level.
