Promotion of young talent

On the last day of the festival, the young bikers showed what they are capable of: At the Scott Junior Trophy, many a youngster outdid themselves. After the start number distribution and a small weather delay, the youngsters took to the pump track at 11.30 am. Even the youngest riders showed their full commitment to the applause of the spectators and pumped their bikes through the course at an impressive speed.

Technique on and off the bike

Meanwhile, technology fans also got their money's worth: with workshops on drivetrain and gears, brakes and suspension fork servicing, the BIKE Academy imparted a wealth of tinkering knowledge to take away with you. The lower leg service in particular met with great interest and many participants were able to ride home with a freshly serviced fork. The E-MTB riding technique training sessions with Stefan Schlie, who prepared both beginners and advanced riders for the trails, were also popular once again. With his trained eye, the professional was able to give helpful tips on positioning on the bike and the right braking technique.

Female Power

The Womens Downhill Session powered by Fox set a special example: under the guidance of professional racer Marlena Neißl, women took to the slopes. Together, they not only honed their skills, but also worked on the courage to try something new. The aim was to get women excited about downhill riding and to give them more safety and self-confidence on the bike - without any technical riding prerequisites. In the challenging (because wet) trail conditions, it was not about performance or competition, but about shared experiences, fun on the trail and personal growth.

Airtime

Lukas Knopf provided plenty of airtime during his bag jump session - spectacular jumps, soft landings and plenty of cheers from the young fans. Despite the changeable weather, the fans didn't miss out on the chance to cheer on one of their own bike idols over the jumps and pick up valuable tips from the social media star. In the afternoon, it was "Experts Only" again - at the Hot Shots Ride by Klosterkitchen, Knopf once again showed what is possible in terms of riding technique on the jumps of the notorious bike park track.

Stars you can touch

A highlight for many was the Scott Gambler Ride Out with Elias Schwärzler - the YouTube star did his laps together with his fans before signing autographs on maps, helmets and jerseys and being available for selfies at the signing session. At the same time, there was another chance to take on the World Cup downhill course with runner-up David Trummer. Afterwards, the likeable Austrian was impressed by the participants' riding skills. Not everyone dares to ride in the mud on the section of the course aptly named "Vali's Hell".

Relaxed finale with depth

Between all the adrenaline and technology, there was also room to take a deep breath. Apothekenumschau hosted "Bike and Yoga" with Timo Pritzel - an atmospheric programme item that inspired many participants and provided a calm contrast to the colourful hustle and bustle of the festival.

With a clear focus on community, young talent and the interaction between professionals and recreational riders, the BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang 2025 has once again positioned itself as one of the most exciting events on the European bike scene.
