It has been rumoured for a long time, but now they have been unveiled at Eurobike: With the LS Flex Enduro and the LS Flex Lite, protector specialist Evoc is now adding knee and elbow pads to its range. A high level of comfort, plenty of safety and the special Lite Shield material should set the protectors apart from the competition.

We admit it: a few months ago, we were able to take a first look at the brand new knee pads from Evoc. Back then, we were guests of the Munich-based protection specialist to test the laboratory measurements. for our back protector testbut of course they were not allowed to reveal anything to anyone. The new models have now been unveiled to the public at Eurobike.

Knee Protector LS Flex Enduro

The new line consists of the slightly heavier Knee Protector LS Flex Enduro, which, as the name suggests, was designed more for downhill riding. It is characterised by tough material, high protection and yet efficient ventilation.

The protector material used here is not just any bought-in foam, but the Lite Shield material developed by Evoc itself. This is also used in the new Torso Protector, where it has already proven its outstanding protective effect and high temperature resistance. For use on the knee, however, the structure had to be redesigned from scratch to accommodate the high degree of movement on the knee.

The Evoc Knee Protector LS Flex Enduro can be optimally adjusted to the knee using two Velcro straps and ensures a particularly secure fit. A special feature is that the lower strap, which runs just above the calf, attaches directly to the protector plate. This should ensure an even more stable fit. Abrasion-resistant fabric over the knee should make the protector durable and resistant to falls. The price for the level 2 protector is 120 euros.

Knee Protector LS Flex Lite

If you want a little more flexibility on trail tours, it's better to go for the slightly airier Knee Protector LS Flex Lite. Although it also has level 2 certification, it is otherwise much lighter. The developers have dispensed with Velcro fasteners for a better fit. Instead, an extended sock on the thigh is designed to prevent slipping while riding. With optimum ventilation and maximum comfort, the new Evoc Knee Protector LS Flex should be the perfect companion for a whole day on the trails.

Similarly light and comfortable but only equipped with a level 1 protector, the Elbow Protector LS Flex Lite completes the portfolio. It is similar in construction to the lightweight knee pad and also dispenses with Velcro straps for fastening. Here too, the stretchy sleeve should provide sufficient support.

The prices for the two Lite pads are 100 euros for the knee pad and 80 euros for the elbow pad.
