The first impression is positive. All three Tchibo products look well made and are quickly ready for use. They are solid for everyday use and leisure. The LED lighting set scores with simple handling, which Mini pump with repair kit is a practical "all-in-one" solution for travelling and the Bottle holder does its job easily with the 0.75 litre bottle. Of course, we found small weaknesses in the three selected products, but overall, the trio of accessories is perfect for anyone who wants to equip or supplement their bike at a reasonable price.
The LEDBicycle light from Tchibo is StVZO-approved and consists of a rechargeable front light with three light levels and a long-lasting rear light. Both lights are splash-proof, rechargeable via USB and equipped with holders. The front light offers up to 60 lux, a coloured battery control system and long runtimes - ideal for everyday use and commuting.
The workmanship of the front and rear lights is solid, both are splash-proof and easy to operate. The rear light lasts over 12 hours on a single charge, the front light lasts exactly two and a half hours at the highest light level, plus half an hour reserve when the LED flashes green/red.
The headlight shines for up to nine hours on the lowest setting - but too dark for real night-time riding. The clearly visible battery indicators and the sturdy holder with rubber ring are practical and easy to mount; the front light can even be swivelled sideways. All in all, a good set for everyday use and commuting, with limitations in terms of brightness for fast night tours on road, mountain or gravel bikes.
The compact mini pump from Tchibo combines Pump and repair kit in one. The handle compartment contains tyre levers, self-adhesive patches and sandpaper - ideal for quick puncture repairs on the go. The dual head is suitable for Presta and Schrader valves, and thanks to the clip holder supplied, the pump can be attached directly to the bottle cage eyelets.
The mini pump is well made and weighs an average 180 grams. It works without play when pumping, but there is a noticeable empty stroke over the first few centimetres. The pump head sits securely on the valve, but the locking lever springs back forcefully when released - this can hurt. Gravel tyres can be inflated reliably, but classic road bike tyres over five bar cannot. The holder and the integrated handle compartment with tyre levers and repair kit are practical, even if the small tyre levers are too small and weak for unruly tyres.
The Tchibo bottle holder comes with a 0.75 litre bottle (together 122 grams) and fits well in frames from size 52. The bottle has a pressure valve mouthpiece and is made of food-safe polyethylene. The holder made of powder-coated aluminium and plastic is light, stable and is mounted with two stainless steel screws.
The bottle cage and bottle correspond functionally to the class standard - solid, but nothing special. The holder also holds a full bottle securely, and handling the bottle is easy if there is enough space in the frame triangle. There is some criticism of the pressure valve: the large opening easily collects dirt, which can be a nuisance on the road.
Tchibo supplies solid bicycle accessories for everyday use and leisure. The lighting set impresses with its good workmanship, long light duration and simple operation, and night-time riding is possible at the highest light level. The mini pump is well made, reliable and a practical companion thanks to the integrated repair kit, but reaches its limits at high pressures. The bottle cage and bottle fulfil the standard reliably, only the large pressure valve collects dirt easily. All in all, a good product at a fair price.
