On 15 November 2025, the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will take place at the Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi. 20 top male and 20 top female athletes will compete on site after the semi-finals to win the coveted rainbow jersey. MyWhoosh, as the exclusive partner from 2024 to 2026, is organising the event for the second time.

The Cycling Esports World Championships have been given a permanent place in the racing calendar. The UCI and the MyWhoosh platform have set 15 November 2025 as the date for the final. The Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi will provide the setting for the decision for the rainbow jerseys.

The final brings together the best 40 athletes who qualify for the final round via qualifying races and semi-finals. 20 male riders and 20 female riders will compete against each other in the capital of the Emirates. The winners will receive the prestigious title of UCI World Champion and the rainbow jersey that goes with it.

Qualification system and format

The qualification system gives athletes worldwide access to the World Championships. Qualifying races and semi-finals will determine the participants for the live final. The UCI plans to publish detailed information on qualification routes and the exact format in the coming months.

The structure follows the tried and tested scheme from the previous year. Athletes must first prevail in regional qualifying races. The semi-finals reduce the field of participants to the final 40 who will be travelling to Abu Dhabi.
