The plan was 10 kilometres, but now it's 12 kilometres: The new bike park at the Schneeberg cable car in Lower Austria will open in spring 2026! From the really rough freeride line to the flow trail for the family. Here are the first pictures of the best trails.

They thought about it for a long time, but now they've decided: it's going to be called "Alpen Bikepark Schneeberg". In Losenheim am Schneeberg, people can hardly wait to open the gates to the new bike park at the chairlift. And the trail construction crew has been really busy. Three construction phases were actually planned for the park. In the first phase, a riders' playground with a pump track around the pond, a dirt jump with airbag and a kids' area for mini shredders were to be created at the valley station.

Plus a total of 10 kilometres of trails at the Schneebergbahn mountain station (870 m - 1210 m). However, the work progressed well into the autumn, which is why two more trails have already been completed, which were actually only planned for the second construction phase.

So there is reason to celebrate next spring. Even if the journey from Germany will take a little longer. It is 440 kilometres by car from Munich to Losenheim am Schneeberg. From Vienna, it's just 80 kilometres. But if you combine the trip with visits to the nearby bike parks Semmering, Wexl-Trails, Hohe Wand Wiese and Geschriebenstein (Burgenland), you can make a great spring road trip out of it.

The Schneeberg bike park is to be expanded

Further construction is planned for 2027 and 2028 on the north-east flank of the Schneeberg. A total of 15 kilometres of trails are planned by the end of 2028. There will also be important accessories, a workshop and rental bikes in Tom's Bike Shop & Rent at the Schneebergbahn. Catering will be provided by the rustic huts on the mountain or the restaurants in the valley.
