Allgäu is the first ADFC RadReiseRegion in Baden-Württemberg

What beautiful cycle tours the Württemberg Allgäu has to offer! Meadows and hills, moors and lakes, castles and fortresses, orchards and farm shops and the Alps within reach. With the successful certification of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrradclub (ADFC) as a RadReiseRegion, the region offers high quality standards on its cycle path network. This makes the "RadReiseRegion Naturschatzkammern" the first region in Baden-Württemberg to be recognised by the ADFC. 13 tours allow everyone - whether on a day trip or cycle tour - to experience this region around Wangen im Allgäu, Isny, Leutkirch im Allgäu and Bad Wurzach in all its splendour.

With lengths of between 33 and 61 kilometres, the routes - some challenging, some easy - are ideal for day trips by bike or can be used to explore the surrounding area. combine to multi-day cycle tours. At the same time, you can find out more about the special features, stories and faces of the region. The routes are signposted throughout and detailed descriptions, altitude profiles and GPS data are available online. The information boards along the route invite you to take a break and provide an entertaining insight into the thematic focus of each route. The cycle tours focus on natural phenomena such as the moors typical of the region. The tours lead past farm gardens and princely estates, historic towns and villages as well as museums. But there are also restaurants and farm shops along the routes, making the breaks worthwhile destinations.

The route leads through the green meadows from lake to lake "Princely lakes" via Kißlegg, Wolfegg and Vogt. Castles, palaces and churches surround the 47 kilometres of the route, such as Waldburg Castle, which is visible from afar and towers above the landscape. The hill climbs add up to 220 metres in altitude, which can be tackled by e-bike or under your own steam and then descended with relish.

The round also runs close to the water "Argenwege": In the first third of the tour, cyclists are accompanied by the wild River Argen with its ever-surprising twists and river meanders. There are 230 metres of elevation gain over the 41 kilometres of the tour.

Cycling with pleasure is the motto of the almost 45-kilometre-long "Country gourmetThis is a "round trip", because along the way your stomach and saddlebags fill up with the culinary delights offered by the farm shops along the way. Due to the energy-sapping 464 metres of altitude, the calorie balance is balanced out automatically over the course of the day.

All tours should be easy to complete by e-bike. At the same time, cyclists remain flexible, as the RadReiseRegion cycle route network allows them to switch between routes - or take extended cycle tours. There are also hire and charging stations, workshops and Bed+Bike hosts along the tours.
