The Württemberg Wine Cycle Route stretches over seven idyllic and scenically impressive stages from its start in Niederstetten in the Tauber Valley to Rottenburg am Neckar, passing through numerous regions of the "Württemberg Wine Routes".
The long-distance cycle route lives up to its name, as it leads from the smallest wine villages via various family wineries and cooperatives to cities such as Heilbronn or the state capital Stuttgart. There is plenty to experience along the way: Pleasure spots such as the various wine taverns, wine shops, cultural highlights such as Marbach, the birthplace of Schiller, or picturesque Tübingen with its punt boats and many scenic highlights. There is a suitable destination for those seeking peace and quiet as well as for pleasure-seekers and culture lovers.
Along the 400 kilometre-long Württemberg Wine Cycle Route, there are a wide variety of places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation in one of the many restaurants and inns or in a Weinsüden Hotel. As a reward in the evening, a glass or two of Württemberger wine is of course a must.
The ADFC has designed a travel package for the Württemberger Weinradweg, which is available to interested parties. here can find and book. The package includes eight nights including breakfast and various other services.
Important information for cyclists who want to travel the newly labelled quality cycle path on their own: There have been route changes at some points along the Wine Cycle Trail, which is why the route signposting for the trail has not yet been fully updated.
