The Elbe Resort Alte Ölmühle is the perfect place for cycling tours in the Elbe meadows and for relaxing. MYBIKE is giving away a short holiday in the Prignitz cycling region
MYBIKE is giving away a short holiday in the Prignitz cycling region with three nights at the Elbe Resort Alte Ölmühle including half board for two people.

The Elbe cycle path leads directly past the house, and all around it there are 1100 kilometres signposted routes in the Prignitz cycling region between the Elbe and Müritz rivers. These are ideal conditions for an enjoyable cycling holiday on the border of Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. And after the tour, cyclists can look forward to relaxing in the large spa and enjoying delicious food in the restaurant at the Elbe Resort Old Oil Mill in Wittenberge. The historic house also has bicycles and e-bikes available for hire for those without a bike.

The closing date for entries is 30 July 2023. Becoming a winner will be drawn by lot from all entries and notified.

Hotel guests receive insider tips from hotel manager André Lohmeyer "The Elbdörfertour is a wonderful route," he reveals. The 26.5 km tour leads through a six-row avenue of trees through Groß Breese, past small, dreamy villages with old half-timbered houses, along the Elbe with its fantastic view over the city and its historic buildings to the Weisen wetland nature reserve. The route feels short and offers many small opportunities to rest and linger along the way. Another highlight for nature lovers comes in spring, when the storks set up their summer quarters in the Prignitz. The excited clattering of the storks is a real spectacle - and not just for ornithologists.

No wheel, no problem

If you don't have a bike, you don't have to be sad, because the Elbe Resort Alte Ölmühle also rents bikes to its guests. Whether you use your own muscle power or an e-bike, for a small hire fee, either for three hours or for the whole day, nothing stands in the way of your cycling adventure.

Elbe Resort Old Oil Mill

The Elbe Resort Alte Ölmühle is not only a beautiful hotel with a spacious spa, but also a real historical treasure. The brewery with a show brewery was built in the warehouse section erected in 1878 and is a tempting place to linger. In addition to culinary delicacies, there is the popular "HerzBräu" brewed in-house. This beer is a special kind of highlight. How surprised would Salomon Herz, who built it at the time, be today that there is even a beer with his name?

All those who participated in our Competition are not lucky, you can also book the arrangement directly: the "Time out at the Elbe" is a coordinated programme to experience the best possible relaxation in a short time (1 - 4 nights). After the welcome champagne, you can head straight to the LOFT SPA area with the bathrobe package. Equipped with a body scrub in the aroma steam bath and a face mask for self-application, your stressed skin can begin to relax. Then why not savour the hotel's own "Herzbräu"? The "Brauhaus" restaurant invites you to a beer tasting and if you are still interested in exploring the history afterwards, you can look forward to a guided tour of the historic grounds of the old oil mill. Of course, culinary delights are also provided. The lavish breakfast buffet gives guests a healthy start to the day. The package can be booked from 240 euros in a double room (for 2 people).
