With the Rally 110 and 210, Garmin is bringing updates to the well-known 200 or 100 watt measuring pedal systems onto the market. The new powermeters combine a measuring accuracy of ±1 % with the flexibility to switch between different pedal bodies. An Allen key is all that is needed to switch between road and off-road versions. This versatility makes the systems equally suitable for road, gravel and MTB.
The Rally 110 pedal works with a one-sided power sensor, while the Rally 210 measures on both sides. The double-sided measurement enables additional metrics such as right/left distribution and cycling dynamics. Both systems react quickly to power changes and provide reliable power data.
The integrated battery distinguishes the new Rally systems from the existing powermeters. A full charge is sufficient for up to 90 hours of riding time. The quick-charge function charges enough energy for 12 hours in 15 minutes.
According to the manufacturer, the 100 and 200 series had a runtime of up to 120 hours with a button cell. However, the weight of the new series has been slightly reduced. For transport, the travel mode now activates an energy-saving function that conserves the battery.
The pedal bodies use different materials depending on the area of use. XC pedal bodies are made entirely of metal for maximum robustness off-road. Road pedal bodies combine carbon reinforcement with low weight and high stiffness.
The Garmin Rally 210 watt pedals provide detailed power data for a comprehensive performance analysis. In addition to the right/left distribution, the system records the time in the seated and standing position. The Power Phase (PP) shows in which area of the pedal stroke the power is transmitted. The Platform Centre Offset (PCO) measures where the foot is positioned on the pedal.
Users of the Garmin Rally 110 pedal system can upgrade to a double-sided Rally 210 system with the upgrade axle on the right. This upgrade brings extended Cycling Dynamics and more precise performance data. Both systems also work with oval chainrings and retain their measurement accuracy.
The Rally systems from Garmin communicate with Garmin Edge bike computers and Garmin smartwatches via ANT+ and Bluetooth. Compatible third-party products can also receive and process the data. Software updates are automatically transferred from paired Garmin devices to the pedals. This function keeps the firmware up to date without any effort.
The Garmin Connect app extends the functions to include calibration and setting changes. Software updates can also be initiated manually via the app. Calibration is carried out directly via the app or the paired Garmin device. Various settings such as crank length or pedal installation angle can be adjusted.
Garmin Rally 110 and 210 work with the three common pedal plate systems: SPD (XC variant of the pedals), SPD-SL (RS variant) and Look Keo (RK variant). This broad compatibility enables the use of existing shoes and cleats. Switching between the systems only requires the corresponding pedal body.
The price for the Rally 110 watt measuring pedal The Rally 210 double-sided pedals are priced at €649.99, the Rally 210 double-sided pedals at €1099.99 and the bundle of RS or RK pedals and XC pedals with double-sided axles at €1349.99.
