With the start of the new season, Zwift is introducing important innovations: more content on the platform, new tools for training management and a closer link between indoor and outdoor training. From April, winter "indoor" riders in particular will benefit from additional incentives to plan their sessions in a more structured way - including a focus on the next outdoor rides.

Train smarter: Recommendations and weekly planning from April

From April, Zwift wants to give users more support in the Zwift Companion app. Personalised recommendations based on the latest training data and preferred formats will provide suggestions for the next session - from workouts and Robopacer rides to suitable routes. Another new feature is that these recommendations also take outdoor rides into account. This means that the app will increasingly become a "cheat sheet" for the next ride in the warmer months.

For those who like structure, Zwift Companion will also include a weekly planner from April. Planned workouts, routes, events, Robopacer rides or challenges can be organised in the calendar. Practical: Those who only plan selectively can still benefit because the suggestions adapt to their own calendar - for example with a suitable preparation session before a race.

Final touches before the summer: Zwift Camp Breakthrough

Zwift Camp: Breakthrough (6 April to 17 May) is the last camp of the winter season. The focus is not only on fitness, but also on technique, stability and control - precisely the building blocks that can later be translated into smoother, more efficient kilometres outdoors.

Gravel takes centre stage: New map and racing series from 6 April

A real eye-catcher of the season is Zwift's first pure gravel event map: Gravel Mountain launches on 6 April. The setting focuses on red rock, wide gravel tracks and new track elements such as berms - made for fast, twisty races and a noticeably different driving experience than on classic tarmac worlds.

The PAS Racing Series will run from 6 April to 3 May. The four-part series utilises the new tracks on Gravel Mountain and adds a new gravel track on the Makuri Islands. Those who take part can unlock a special jersey.

More motivation thanks to new levels and more data in the HUD

Zwift is also turning the screw on progress: the upper level limit for cycling is being raised beyond level 100, including additional levels and a visible badge for all those who have already reached the previous milestone. For running, the limit will rise from level 30 to level 50.

From May, it will also be more technical: the HUD can be customised with four freely configurable data fields for training sessions. There is a choice of 13 measured values - from cadence to power-to-weight ratio.

Tour de France feeling with Montmartre in Paris

Paris takes centre stage again this summer, which is the season of the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. From 26 June, Zwift will be adding the Montmartre climb towards the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur to the Paris map - short, steep and cobbled. Zwift is thus tapping into the new popularity of the Parisian backdrop and providing an additional challenge for all those who love crisp climbs.

Tour fever and fresh material in the drop shop

Zwift is celebrating its role as the official software platform of the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with the Tour Fever Challenge (2 July to 16 August). Rides and races are scheduled over five stages - including five new badges on the Paris map.

At the same time, the drop shop is also being significantly upgraded: 18 new bikes and 13 new wheelsets have been announced for spring and summer. The first releases in March and April clearly focus on gravel - ideal for switching to the right setup in time for the launch of Gravel Mountain and the PAS Racing Series.
