Local patriotism is one of those things these days. It's easy to get pigeonholed. Or, from a political point of view, you quickly end up on the far right. I certainly don't belong there. So, am I proud to be Bavarian? Not necessarily, but a little love of one's homeland must be allowed.
Above all, because there are many companies here in Bavaria that are really promoting the topic of bicycles. Over the odd pint of beer, many a flash of inspiration has apparently already shot through the marquee. Perhaps it's also due to the fresh mountain air that so many clever bike parts have been invented in Bavaria. We'll show you ten of them.
The Lupine SL Mono is just one of the many clever lights from the Neumarkt-based company. The compact housing made of CNC-milled and anodised aluminium has an integrated 12 Wh battery that can also be charged on the handlebars via USB-C. Smart temperature management ensures constant performance.
A maximum of 700 lumens over 1:45 hours is possible. The SL Mono also has a daytime running light and a dipped beam mode. The daytime running light of the StVZO-approved light is automatically activated via a brightness sensor and provides additional safety in road traffic.

Because even good products can be made even better, the Upper Palatinate-based company OAK Components mills stylish levers for Shimano, Sram, Magura and TRP brakes from aerospace-grade aluminium. The promise: more braking power, improved ergonomics and long durability. In addition, the Grip Face technology should provide more control and better grip even in wet conditions. True to the motto: brains, lard, Upper Palatinate. The elegant levers are available in dozens of different colours - including, of course, the chic Bavarian sky blue.

Newmen could just as well be called Nerdmen, because anyone who knows the crew around Michi Grätz knows that only products that are clever down to the last detail are screwed onto the bike here. Of course, the Beskar Flat pedals are no different. If you want to fly over the trail on the last groove, you need a firm stance and bomb grip.
The new Beskar pedals with a 105x100 millimetre concave platform are designed to deliver both. Eight stainless steel pins are drilled into the sole on each side. The special bearing system floats on the lightweight titanium axle. The advantage: the bearings run free of tension and play, which should distribute the forces better and increase durability.

No Bullshit is written on the website of telescopic support developer Stefan Sack, and what he actually means by that is probably: "Koa Glump!" He just wanted to put it in a more cosmopolitan way. In the meantime, the Stegaurach-based company's range of reliable parts has grown. For example, the bartender stem.
Before low weight and high rigidity can result in this chic design, it needs an elaborate beauty treatment: A multi-stage heat treatment is followed by a precise forging process with CNC post-treatment and compaction of the surface using shot blasting. The 0-degree stem is then laser engraved and anodised as required. The Barkeeper is available in 35, 45 and 55 millimetre lengths, suitable for 35 millimetre clamps.

Things have been a bit quiet around the protector backpack pioneers recently, but Evoc have recently hit it out of the park again, as they say. With the new Allride, the Munich-based company has ignited a new level of innovation and broken completely new ground. The 16-litre rucksack is completely waterproof and keeps the Evoc-typically well-stocked contents dry even in heavy rain.
The back system is 3D printed. This process is known as additive manufacturing. The open structure of the individual pads should ensure top ventilation and a comfortable fit. Seamless shoulder and hip straps are designed to increase comfort.

Anyone who has ever rumbled down the Wurzel-Sepp in the Oberammergau bike park will know why the locals at Ambit have developed these very special carbon handlebars. The oval design and the patented damper in the clamping area are intended to provide targeted micro-flex and thus reduce fatigue on long descents. Thanks to the fat 35-millimetre clamp, there is no need to worry about steering losses. The Bartender GC Carbon is available for Enduro and DH, both in 800 millimetre widths. Rise: 25 or 35 millimetres.

Knee pads with a perfect fit - that's the first thing that comes to mind when we think of the Munich-based label Ion. With the new Arcon LT, Ion is now also bringing sustainability into play, as the level 2 certified protector from Rezro is completely biodegradable and covers up to 15 per cent more area than a standard protector. Thanks to the long sock made from recycled polyester, the Arcon knee protector is designed to be flexible and airy, but at the same time fit particularly securely.

Until now, the Taufkirchen-based company has mainly been active in mountain sports with its functional clothing. This is now changing. In 2026, Ortovox is entering the MTB sector with the Sequence series. For example, with the Trail line, which typically combines Ortovox comfortable cuts with environmentally friendly materials.
The Trail Jersey LS is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester, while the Trail Pants are made from robust 4-way stretch. There is also a line that is more tailored to the needs of enduro bikers and freeriders and is partly made with merino wool. You can find the entire collection here.

Since 1980, people north-west of Munich have been thinking about the best way to protect their heads while biking. The people from Sulzemoos have already come up with many an innovation. For example, the in-house 360° fit system with the Alpina-typical ratchet.
The side Y-distributors on the new Rootage 2 Mips are much slimmer - but they can still be adjusted. A triple-shell construction is designed to improve impact protection. Alpina relies on the tried-and-tested Mips system to reduce rotational acceleration in the event of a fall. Other features: adjustable visor, deep-drawn rear and fly screen - now a rarity in the helmet segment.

In a Bavaria special, the ergonomics pioneers from Taufkirchen, who have taken seating comfort on bikes to a whole new level, are of course a must. With their step concept, the SQlab developers have already relieved many a biker of numbness.
Each saddle is available in different widths because this is the only way it can fit your backside perfectly - almost like customised leather trousers. The Active models also have a flexible saddle mount, which supports the natural movement when pedalling and thus prevents back pain.
Mike Metzger, to whom this limited edition is dedicated, can tell you a thing or two about it: The MX icon, who performed the first backflip at an FMX contest in 2002, already has six broken backs to his name. But the motocross legend is still riding the 6OX on tough gravity courses.
